"Stop the Planet: I want to get off." is a being developed by Eldon & Debora. It is much different then a typical zombie experience.
You can play with a friend in co-op against zombies, aliens, bandits, and nature. You'll experience a dynamic adventure where your actions determine if you survive the apocalypse.
1) Open world exploration & survival
- After the tutorial levels, the player is left alone, to explore
the world and survive anyway they can. Players are not told where
to go and what to do.
2) Building and Blueprints
- The game uses a blueprint system in which you either learn
to build something based on skills, finding blueprints hidden in
the world, or being taught things from survivors.
Once you know how to build something, you can build
anywhere you want as long as you’ve collected the resources for it.
Blueprints can be weapon’s, structures, vehicles, or other. Some
blueprints will be so rare, you might find it, while 1000’s of
other players may not.
3) Resource Gathering & Bases
- Currently there are 18 general categories of materials you
can harvest or find. From food ---> to alien tech.
Sometimes you will find a gold mine (rare resource) that takes all
day to harvest. You will need to build defensive structures to
protect these area’s from attacks. In co-op. Your friend can
build a base, while the other mines.
4) Scenario’s
- Besides running into zombies in your own exploring, there
will be tons of pre-scripted game changing events. Some of these
scenario’s will have choices. Example: who lives & who dies...
5) How do I win this game?
- Besides needing to keep yourself fed, you either have to
cure/kill the zombies, or get off the planet or you will lose the
game. And you...have to figure out how to do that?
If zombies reach your “main stronghold”, which is a base you
capture in the main story. Hopefully you’ve repaired and
upgraded the base by then.
At that final showdown, if you’ve devised a means to survive the
apocalypse, it shall be unfolded. If not, you are nothing but
zombie food.
During the kickstarter, you have an opportunity to be a part of this game.
Either by creating a scenario, unique blueprint, or becoming a character in game.
I really like the Blueprint system. Imagine encountering a minefield with no
way across. But then, someone you rescued earlier told you how to make a
metal detector. You might be able to get an item on the other side of the
minefield that other players will not.
